Project overview
Insight Spark is a smart feedback and survey platform that enables real-time feedback collection, summarization, and visualization across three interactive dashboards — for students, teachers, and societies.
Teachers and societies can easily create and upload feedback forms related to events, workshops, or classes. These forms automatically appear on the student dashboard, where students can submit their responses.
Once feedback is submitted, the platform’s backend instantly analyzes and summarizes all responses using AI and displays live visual analytics — helping teachers and societies gain quick, actionable insights into participant satisfaction, engagement, and suggestions.
Insight Spark bridges communication gaps by transforming raw feedback into meaningful, data-driven insights — all in real time.
Inspiration
We noticed students often avoid filling feedback forms due to bias or fear that teachers might see their names. We wanted to build a transparent, anonymous system that lets students give honest feedback while helping teachers and societies instantly understand audience responses.
What it does
It provides three dashboards — for students, teachers, and societies.
Teachers and societies can create feedback forms, which appear on student dashboards. Students submit feedback anonymously, and responses are instantly summarized and visualized in real time for organizers.
How we built it
We built the frontend using React and Tailwind, and the backend using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. Real-time updates and data visualization are powered through WebSocket/API integration and AI-based summarization for instant insights.

Challenges
Enabling real-time synchronization between dashboards.
Building a secure anonymous feedback mechanism.
Accomplishments
Fully working multi-dashboard platform.
Real-time feedback updates and visual analytics.
Secure and anonymous data handling
Learnings
We learned how to integrate AI summarization, manage live data flow between multiple dashboards, and design systems that protect user anonymity while maintaining insight accuracy.
Next steps
We plan to add sentiment analysis, exportable reports, and integration with college ERP systems to make feedback more actionable and scalable.
