Choose your mode

Each team competes in exactly one main mode: SEED, CORE, FRONTIER or invitation-only FORGE. Open Innovation and Research remain independent add-on tracks.

FORGE Invite only

FORGE

A separate, invitation-only mode for teams working exclusively on assigned industry briefs.

  • Teams of 4 members; at least one female member is mandatory
  • Invitation only

FORGE is a separate, exclusive mode. An invited FRONTIER team becomes a FORGE team only when its leader accepts; it then works and submits only in FORGE.

Open Innovation

Build or pitch an idea you bring to BIOS.

For newcomers

Bring any idea of your own. Develop it with mentors on 30 October, then present on 31 October.

For startups

Pitch an idea or deck to professionals and alumni. Join the mentorship session only if you need it.

Research Track Open

Research Track

Explore a research question, new or ongoing.

For beginners

Start with a guided problem statement and mentoring on 30 October.

For researchers

Bring your own topic or existing work and present your findings on 1 November.

  • Participate solo or in a separate team of up to four
  • Final presentations 1 November
  • Prize pool: ₹50,000

CORE and FRONTIER participants may enter independently, even after their team submits. You may also enter the other add-on.
